Pink pads

Animal themed manicure! I used OPI’s Alpine Snow as base and decided to dot paw prints with Essie’s Don’t Sweater It. They looked a bit boring and I figured… paw pads! I dotted them with Sally Hansen’s pink Party Hard-y. Yey! 😀

Indie craze

I’ve been trying to stay away from the indie craze in the nail polish community for several reasons. Not liking the drama that spread in its wake is one… The main reason is I’ve never found an indie brand I like enough to pay the higher price per bottle. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales I succumbed and ordered a total of 21 polishes from three indie brands; Glitzology, Pahlish and ILoveNP. Can’t wait to get them!

And now… I see beautiful indie polishes EVERYWHERE. Must. Resist.

Dusty flight

I seem to have a weakness for this kind of dusty turquoise 🙂 especially when paired with lovely silver shimmer like this one. Let Me Fly is my favorite polish from Cult Nails.

As usual with Cult Nails’ polishes the formula is perfect; Easy to apply, opaque at two coats and a decent drying time.

Boring.. prisms?

Essie’s Don’t Sweater It (some one please shoot me…) is a lovely greige creme that applies like a dream.  I wanted to make a discrete/toned down/pleasant to look at glitter gradient and chose NYX Girls’ Prismatic Gold that contains both golden micro glitter and larger prismatic hexagon glitter.

I have to say I’m not particularly fond of this manicure. I like glitter gradients and the colors themselves but together they kind of blend into a slush of… boring. That was not my intention 🙂
