NYX’s Sepia is a dark blue jelly. It needed three generous coats for opacity but was incredibly easy to apply.

Madly Tex-y

For Pink Thursday at Emma’s I have a jelly sandwich with OPI’s Do You Think I’m Tex-y? and Candy Lacquer’s Mad For Glitter.

It looks so juicy! 🙂

OPI’s Do You Think I’m Tex-y?

Ahh, pretty pretty jelly! OPI’s Do You Think I’m Tex-y? is a lovely berry pink jelly polish. Application was a dream, it was opaque at three coats and dried incredibly glossy.

 

Orly’s Fowl Play

Orly’s Fowl Play is beautiful in many ways but leaves me quite uninterested in the end. I have no idea why as the idea is quite lovely;  a deep purple jelly base full of flakies and micro glitter and tiny blue glitter. It applies very well, is opaque at two generous coats and dries reasonably fast.

Bejeweled jelleh

China Glaze’s Creative Fantasy is a lovely deep purple jelly! I cannot believe how pretty it is and will have so much fun creating jelly sandwiches with it. I tried taking swatches of the polish itself but even though there were no visible nail lines in person after three coats, my camera decided to make it look like I had been digging in my garden…

I painted three coats of Creative Fantasy and two coats of KBShimmer’s Bejeweled and topped it off with a last coat of Creative Fantasy. Bejeweled contains gold and blue hex glitter in different sizes (as you can see in the last picture).  Creative Fantasy changed some of the golden ones into pink hexes 🙂

Kleancolor’s Leaves Jingle

Kleancolor’s Leaves Jingle is odd. It’s a grass green jelly with lighter green glitter. I like it a lot actually, I just think it looks like a holiday polish that went too light… Oh well 🙂 The formula was quite goopy and a few drops of thinner would probably sort that out.

Barry M’s Gold Mine

Barry M’s Gold Mine is a black jelly packed full of small golden glitter. This is two coats and it applied like a dream.

And nevermind the watermark in these pictures. I went through a phase of adding them to a bunch of manicures I did and well… It’s just too much work compared to the need.

 

Illamasqua’s Glitterati

Illamasqua’s Glitterati is a dark raspberry (leaning on plum) jelly with a ton of small micro glitter and medium prismatic hex glitter. It needed two coats for full opacity and color depth. Unfortunately the polish looks more stunning in the bottle as usual but is by no means uninteresting on the nails.

Oh, and ignore the watermark… I went through a short phase of trying it but came to the conclusion it was too much work 😛

Barielle’s Falling Star

Ah, an old lemming of mine! Barielle’s Falling Star is a lovely medium blue with copper glitter.  It’s beautiful but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with it overall… Either way it’s unique in my stash 🙂  Decent formula; easy to apply, two coats for opacity and it dries fast.

365 Days of Color’s Dangerously Beautiful

Ahh, such a pretty polish! 365 Days of Color’s Dangerously Beautiful has a pink jelly base with blue and black hexagon glitter. It’s a tad sheer and next time I’ll be using some kind of underwear instead of trying to build opacity on its own. This is five coats…
