Nubar’s Chartreuse

Nubar’s Chartreuse is one of those polishes that scream spring and summer. The color itself is actually quite flattering and the polish has Nubar’s usual fantastic formula; easy to apply, opaque at two generous coats and dried fast. This rapidly became a favorite everyday wear polish 🙂

If you can spot those little tiny hexes of green glitter they are my failed attempt at a subtle polka dot manicure with hand placed glitter.

Aged chalk dust

It’s Blue Monday over at Linda’s Nailorama and I’ve managed to prepare a post! Woho! 🙂

Color Club’s bright turquoise creme Age of Aquarius was the base for this easy manicure with two coats of Maybelline’s white and black glitter Chalk Dust. I already love layering Chalk Dust over bright cremes a bit too much…

Circus!

Cult Nails’ orange toned red shimmer Annalicious is the base for a manicure that reminds me of the circus or an amusement park 🙂 I used Innisfree’s glitter 107 with its mix of bar and hex glitter in a multitude of colors for the sloppy gradient.

For once I’m actually posting a NOTD; I’m wearing this to work today!

Pahlish’s Clanking of Crystal

It’s Blue Monday over at Lindas Nailorama and it’s time for an indie! 🙂

Pahlish’s Clanking of Crystal has a sky blue base with blue microglitter, black hex glitter and round blue glitter. The formula itself was a bit thick and needed three coats for opacity.

I have loved every Pahlish polish ordered except this one. I decided to swap it immediately after swatching it actually and I’m not sure why… It might be how it looks with my skin tone? On a happier note… At the bottom of the post I added an awesome song on the theme “blue” (in a way) from a favorite band of mine 🙂

Easter eggs

There hasn’t been many opportunities to paint Easter theme manicures this year but it’s Nail Art Sunday over at LeLack’s

I used Gina Tricot’s yellow creme Aspen Gold and Nubar’s black glitter topper Black Polka Dot. The idea was to mimic a certain kind of easter candy that you can see in the bottom picture (although only beige ones are pictured); small mottled eggs in happy colors… I feel like I cheated somehow 😀
