I wore China Glaze’s Stone Cold to work the other day and when it started chipping (no polish lasts more then a day on me… help!) I decided to create some kind of nail art on top of it to wear to work next day. I used Cheeky’s Jumbo plate B and Barry M’s Silver Foil on top for stamping. After that I dotted with Nordic Cap’s neon pink 15.
It’s also Nail Art Sunday over at LeLack’s and this fits the free theme perfectly 🙂
I just had to stamp something on top of Color Club’s Artsy Crafty and decided to use Barry M’s Silver Foil and Bundlemonter’s plate BM309 to stamp adorable owls. The result was so-so but I like the little guy 🙂
It’s Holo Friday over at Skimmerskuggan’s!
Jade’s Psicodélica is a silvery holographic with a strong linear effect. I used five coats for this and there’s still visible nail line so next time I’ll remember to use some kind of underwear to let it pop a bit more… Application was flawless despite the sheerness and as usual with holos it dried fast.
I own just a few foil polishes and OPI’s Designer… De Better is one of them. Champagne in any kind of finish makes me a bit doubtful but Designer…De Better’s silvery champagne colored base and micro glitter in mainly copper is another story 🙂 I’m so happy this was part of a swap earlier this year.
I was in the mood for some kind of tape manicure and decided to my whip out my trusted Scotch tape and just use Cult Nails’ dark brown Swanbourne as the base since I was already wearing it. Barry M’s Silver Foil and Cult Nails’ Power Thief are used for the second and third layer. Brown polishes are few and far between in my stash and I can remember why now… I rarely like the outcome when matching them to other polishes, unless it’s something minty ^^
I need to make more tape manicures from now on though… They are a ton of fun to design and paint.
It’s Nail Art Sunday @ LeLack 🙂
Ahh, gradients. How fun aren’t they?!
This one is a collaboration between three in themselves awesome polishes. I used Catrice’s almost black Moonlight Express as the base since it reminded me of the night sky. Sinful Colors’ Frenzy for the purple and blue glitter and for the silvery startdust effect I used Sinful Colors’ Out Of This World.
Pictures without top coat and the last one is blurry to show of the glitter a bit more 🙂
As mentioned this was a gift from my sister 🙂 ❤ Sally Hansen’s Celeb City is a lovely silver foil with better then expected formula and drying time. I’ve wanted a proper silver foil for a long while, both for painting my nails and for making nail art. It took three coats to make me happy with the coverage.
